Do you remember the little lost girl I blogged about earlier? God is miraculously orchestrating the events of her life, taking into account her moment-by-moment needs. He is Father to the fatherless. There’s no denying it. This summer it will become necessary for her to move from the loving foster home where God has sheltered her during the past two years. But before that even became known to be a necessity, God connected her with a new foster family who loves Jesus. This family loves each other and they love LLG, though that name won’t fit her much longer. She is becoming less and less lost. Again, God has risen higher in my esteem, though my pitiful understanding can never come close to comprehending the vastness of His holiness and faithfulness and His love of the innocents of this world. How true it is that, “He defends the cause of the fatherless and widow,” Dueteronomy 10:18a, (NIV)!
And as for you and me…
1) “Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress,” James 1:27a, (NIV).
2) “”And whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes me [Jesus]. But if anyone causes one of these little ones who believes in me [Jesus] to sin, it would be better for him to have a large millstone hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea,” Matthew 18:5-6, (NIV).
By the way, LLG loves Jesus. Will you join me in praying that she grows in her relationship to Him as Father and Lord?
