God sets the lonely in families…

“Sing to God, sing praise to his name,
extol him who rides on the clouds–
his name is the LORD–
and rejoice before him.

A father to the fatherless,
defender of the widows,
is God in his holy dwelling.
God sets the lonely in families,
he leads forth the prisoners with singing;
but the rebellious live in a sun-scorched land.” (Psalm 68:4-6, NIV).

God set one who was “a little lost girl” into a family, complete with busy younger brother, a room of her own, and copious trips to the beach.

Though authors penned the book of Psalms long ago, God still works one-by-one to set the lonely in families. For that, I extol Him who rides on the clouds and I rejoice before Him today!

  1. Praise Jesus for His loving care for all and his particular love for the fatherless. His passion must be our passion if we are to walk in obedience to His commands.
