Only the power of One can use just one…

One young nurse,
Intent on flinging starfish,
Back into life-giving surf,
Ventures out again into the heat.

A useless effort say powerful men,
Bent on fame, they’d change the world,
In an instant with money and flair,
But they don’t know the power of One.

One who empowers the weak of this world,
To wield His brush one stroke at a time,
Hold a hand, look straight into eyes,
Full of pain, lost hope and the fruit of lies.

One who cares to stoop from on high,
To heal the sick, give rest to the weary,
Reaching out in a ramshackle world,
Where chaos spreads its dark, deathly rule.

One who turns evil to good,
Who sends people of change,
To improve one life, preserve many alive,
This One she serves persists throughout time.

Be His hands, His feet, His eyes, His smile,
His touch, His laughter, His joy and tears,
Over His creation, His beloved masterpiece,
Only the power of One can use just one.

“The LORD is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love.
The LORD is good to all; he has compassion on all he has made.”
(Pslam 145:8-9, NIV)

“I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.” (3 John :4, NIV)
